IP PBX FAQO-Bit SIP Trunk |
The VigorIPPBX can be setup to use an O-bit trunk. When the order is placed with O-bit they'll ask for your public IP Address. Give them the WAN IP Address for the WAN interface that will be used and the UDP port that SIP signalling will be sent to. The VigorIPPBX 2820 uses port 5070 for the SIP Trunk.
O-bit should be informed of the VigorIPPBX WAN IP Address and the SIP port (5070)
SIP Local Port - Set this to 5070. The port the VigorIPPBX will be listening on Register via - Set this to NONE and tick "Call without Registration" so that the IPPBX does not sent registration requests to O-bit Domain/Realm - Set this to the IP Address that O-bit specified that their platform will be sending from Proxy Port - Set this to 5060. The port O-bit will be receiving requests on Display Name - Set this to the primary DDI with a +44 prefix replacing the leading 0 (eg 0208123455 is entered as +44208123455) Account Number - Set as the same as the Display Name Authentication ID - Not required Password - Not required Trunk Number - The Trunk Number is the extension number used for the trunk, and it is the extension number that a user would dial if they want to specifically use a line on the trunk. Normally the trunk that a user uses is selected automatically using the dial plans digit map setup.
Alias Number - To send a different default CLI set this with a +44 prefix in the same manner as the Display NameThe way that incoming numbers are handled depends on how the ITSP deliver the call to the account. For O-bit accounts INVITE packets for inbound calls send with a +44 prefix replacing the leading 0 (eg +442081234567).
To set this up, go to the Alias menu [IPPBX]> [SIP Trunk List] menu.
For each incoming number we can select the answer mode individually which makes it easy to route each specific incoming number as required.
Alias Name - Description for the incoming number Alias Number - The number that is presented by the ITSP for the DDI (eg +44 and phone number without leading 0) Anaswer Mode - Auto-attendant, extension or hunt group
It is possible to specificy a specific CLI for extensions that have a DDI. To do enable "Use CLI" for the entry. For each outgoing call the VigorIPPBX does a match against the SIP Alias list and if a SIP Alias with "Use CLI" matches for the extension making a call then it will use that CLI instead of the SIP Trunk Account Number. If there are multiple matches then the first match is used
