There are two methods of transferring a call, attended and un-attended transfer. With attended transfer the user would first speak to the destination party before connecting the call. If the new party does not answer then the original callee can be retreived by pressing the corresponding Line button With unattended transfer the user would hangup before the connection is made to the destination party, leaving the original callee to hear the ringing progress. With unattended transfer, if the new destination does not answer then the original callee would be dropped. The Transfer softkey only appears when a call is in progress, as shown in the picture. |
