banging my head with frustration was created by mathewlisett
resolving hosts and gateway failure is a BIG issue and ive just upgraded our router to the ac5300 from the ac2400 thinking the problem was with the ac2400, but now the problems still exist and im strongly suspecting the modem needs replacing with a replacement.
and yes ive just upgraded the firmware via the browser ui
edit:just after the firmware (and even after i pressed the reset button) the browser ui (menu) now wont even connect. so would i be correct in saying the modem needs to be replaced?

Bit confused here - aren't these Asus router models ?
What bit of Draytek kit is involved ?

i had involved the change of the asus routers to state the process or chain of events due to the issues i was having.
so since ive now changed the router and STILL having the resolving host problems, dns failure and default gateway not connecting and now the modems own menu not connecting....it seems to be the modem thats at fault.
so would i be right

You still haven't said what Draytek modem this is, so it's hard to help ?
