Getting these to work properly with the PSTN is still unachievable.

1) When manually selecting the PSTN, then manually dialling, there is 50Hz hum on the line.

Notes:
a) If I plug an analogue phone into the IPPBX front "phone" socket, the hum is not present. It's only heard when using the 350 with the PSTN line brought up.
b) Earthing the IPPBX the switch makes reduces the level of hum by about 60%, but it's still there. I have tried earthing the PBX to the mains as well as to the switch, and used STP cabling between each (which also provides a common earth between PBX and switch). It appears however that it is not possible to use STP to the V350 as the socket has no earth point, hence not possible to manually earth it. Is the fault with the V350?

2) There is an echo on the PSTN line when dialing. This seems to lead to the number being misdialled.

3) (a) When using the Speed-dial to dial a PTSN (using the the Digitmap on the 350) , the dialing speed is so fast that the number fails to be read properly by the exchange.
(b) Also there is no delay while waiting for the PSTN line to be brought up, before the quickdial number is used, so the initial digits are sent before the line stabilizes.

4) The REN seems very high on the Line socket. If set to answer the call, other analogue phone extensions are unlikely to ring.
