ARP detect was created by johncassell
Hi,

could someone help with this please (Draytek 2820n)

My setup is WAN1 = BT ADSL
WAN2 = 3G USB Modem (Via Orange Network) (Activate when WAN1 fails)

WAN1 connection detection = ARP.

When I unplug the ADSL cable, the connection isn't recognised as dropped. However if I change to ping an address it does. Problem is that when I change to ping, the ADSL seem to experience dropouts regularly.

Could anyone provide info on how this ARP detection works please and why I may be having problems?

Thanks
John
