2820, Dual WAN and different buildings was created by garylyons
Hi

I currently have two different adsl connections in two different buildings. I have just replaced a dead linksys router with a 2820 and I wondered if its possible to use the WAN2 connection to connect the second adsl connection.

I've looked through the manual and it looks like it would work if i'm connected directly to the second connection, however its in a different building and the connection goes across the network through a couple of switches.

Any help and suggestions would be highly appreicated.
Thank you
Gary

in theory this should work, but you might have to make this a discrete network and have nothing else connected to the switches. Or buy a couple of cheap switches to use instead if there are other clients. if the current switches are intelligent you might be able to create a discrete vlan for the traffic between the second adsl router and draytek
