Hi All,
I have come across this post as we to have been switched across to the 21CN ADSL2+ network on the 14th April and since that day our connection has been shambolic, BT have had numerous engineers out so I have always presumed its at there end otherwise they would tell me to go forth & multiply.
My exchange has been upgraded to 21cn. My 2820 runs perfectly, and now syncs at over 3.5Mb instead of the previous 2.8 or so. (Note that this is still on ADSL1). I'm running the latest firmware.
I suspect that those hitting problems have their modulation setting as "Multimode". Mine is set to G.DMT - and no problems whatever. If I change to G992.5, it won't sync. AFAIK, the service definition has to be changed at the exchange before MSAN (DSLAM replacement) will allow ADSL2+ modulation. In the case of Zen, it's an actual (free) service upgrade. If the 2820 decides to switch modulation before the service is upgraded, you're stuffed, it appears. Perhaps auto is not good in this circumstance.
