3300V Plus VPN Trunking question was created by B2Bsteve
I am looking to put in a couple of 3300 V+ boxes to improve speed and availability for our remote site.
Question is as follows:
If 3300 has 2 Wan connections and you have VPN configured with Trunking - if 1 line goes down will the vpn traffic automatically switch over to other line?
Also does it do Failover + loadbalancing or Failover OR loadbalancing.... ideally we need both!

Don't really want to shell out cash only to find out they dont quite do the job I want.

Thanks
Steve

hi steve,

i would say it does both.

http://www.draytek.com/user/SupportLiveDemoDetail.php?ID=63

go to Network then click WAN.

There are radio buttons for failover & backup. if you enable both you can clearly see that Load balance check box and the Backup Master / Slave radio buttons are not dimmed and can be selected.

hope this helps answer your question.
