Bit of a kerfuffle this morning as our 2910 mysteriously reset to factory defaults overnight causing the VPN to evaporate. I've not had this happen to any router, DrayTek or otherwise, and am thoroughly baffled as to what may have caused it.
The device uses the latest firmware and until last night had been running flawlessly since it was purchased at the beginning of the year. There was no 'preamble' to what happened this morning in terms of odd behaviour or freezing. It hasn't been moved, it hadn't overheated or anything like that, but it was inadvertently power cycled at the socket the morning prior to the incident.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions or wild speculation as to what happened? Like I say, it's a new one on me.
It is of course 100% my fault that I'd not backed up the configuration, thus prolonging the agony during which the VPN was unavailable, but still - I'd like to know if it's likely to happen again
