Restrict WAN2 to VPN taffic only? was created by jtay
Hi,

I was wondering if there was a way to restrict WAN2 to be used for VPN traffic only?

We have two links and I want WAN1 to be used for internet access and WAN2 reserved for VPN usage.

Is this possible with the Vigor2820 or will I need to run two routers?

To do that, you would need to make a load balance policy (under the WAN menu) and create a rule to force all traffic through WAN1 first:
protocol: any
WAN: WAN1 - leave auto failover ticked
leave everything else blank and click OK.

Then set up the VPN connection - either LAN to LAN to dial-in user to connect using the WAN2 IP address, if it's dial-out then set the VPN Dial-Out Through setting to WAN2 so it connects using that.
That way, all internet traffic will go through WAN1 but any VPN traffic will go through WAN2.
