Hi Everyone.

I replaced a 2820 with a 2830 about a year ago because the wireless stopped working - and now the wireless on the 2830 has packed up too. Coincidence perhaps, but is this a known issue with any fix - I have asked Draytek but have not received a reply yet.

I will reflash the 2830 today (single band version), but it just seems odd that both have possibly failed in the same way. Because there's a second access point in the building that kept everyone going, it's not possible to tie the wireless failures to a specific time or event (like as soon as firmware was updated), it's just that I happened to notice that the Draytek's channel 6 signal had disappeared.

I dug out the 2820 today and factory reset it, reseated the WLAN card and flashed the previous then latest firmware again - no-go.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Edit 23-SEP-2016: FIXED!!

Both units have an off-the-shelf mini-PCI board - the model is Alpha WMP-N07.

I picked one up off ebay for £3.00 and wifi on the 2830 is working again.

I might do a visual and electrical inspection of the faulty boards, but if I can pick up another one for only a few quid it's not really worth spending too much time on them.
