IPPBX 2820 & Vigor Phone 350 was created by haywardi
Hi,

Can someone help me please.

I've purchased and installed an IPPBX 2820 before Christmas but started using it only as a router. I have now acquired a VIGOR Phone 350 with the intention of connecting it to the IPPBX. HOWEVER, there are NO instruction of how to configure the phone to connect to the IPPBX!

I've managed go get the phone to connect to my SIP provider directly, but thats no use what so ever.

Is there anyone who can advise me on how to connect (register) the phone on the IPPBX?

Thanks in advance.

Iain

You need to create an extension on the PBx for the Vigorphone.

Hi,

An update.

By playing around, I think I've found the answer to my question.

In summary:

- on the 350 you need to perform the following setup.

Registration ID: enter the extension number you want the phone to use on the PBX
Display Name: Enter any name, it only appear on the 350 as a choice of sip provider
Registration Server: The ip address of your PBX
Authentication Name: enter your extension
proxy server: your PBX IP address

The password, is the password you set up on your PBX for that extension.

Hope this helps someone, it took several hours of experimentation before I worked out the correct settings on the PBX and 350!

If your router didn't come with the setup paper, speak to support to ensure that you have access to the FAQ and the support line number.

hi haywardi,

First thing you need to do is configure the IPPBX before you configure the IP Phones.
See http://www.support.draytek.co.uk/ippbx/kb_ippbx_smalloffice_configuration.html for an example scenario and configuration help.

All the best
