VigorPhone 350: Transferring calls using the BLF keys was created by ittel123
Is this possible?
Ideally when a call is on hold, or active, the user would like to transfer the call by pressing the BLF key.
So far we've tried:
1. Pressing the BLF key while call active.
2. Pressing transfer soft key, then the BLF key.
3. Pressing Hold, then the BLF key.
The user either stays on hold, or is disconnected.
Using the v2820pbx_a_353 firmware, and handsets are V12202.26.1.03.

Hi ittel123,
Yes it is possible.
Using your method 2. Pressing the transfer soft key, then the BLF key for the extension you want to transfer too.
There is a beta firmware update (3.5.4 RC3a) on the draytek website which has improvements for attended call transfer, this may help fix the issue for you.
http://www.draytek.co.uk/support/downloads.html
Can I ask you what type of call you are trying to transfer, is it a SIP or ISDN call?
If SIP who is your service provider?
Thanks

After double-checking I realised I did patch up to 3.5.4 RC3a last week - sorry.
The calls in question are ISDN calls being transferred internally via Vigor 350 to Vigor 350. No external SIP is used (only the handsets use it internally).
With 3.5.4rc3a, pressing transfer then the BLF causes a hangup.
Could this be a config issue? Any recommendations on where to look?
Thanks

Hi ittel,
It could be a config issue or possibly a firmware issue on the handsets at a guess.
I have 2 IPPBX 2820's set up with VigorPhone 350's and connected to ISDN.
Calls can come in and be transferred to other extensions using the BLF no problem.
Just cusrious but does it happen if you dial the extension directly rather using the BLF?
Only noticeable difference (without looking at your IPPBX and phone configs) is that the firmware I have on the phones is not the latest one (i was trying to update the firmware remotely on these the other day, however the upgrade would always halt about half way through).
Do you have a backup config or different firmware you can use for the phones to see if it is the firmware causing the issue?

Thanks for your assistance, Lee.
I'm upgrading to RC5 firmware now to see if that helps.

Hi ittel,
How did you get on with this?
Also I noticed that Draytek/SEG have release 3 new firmware patches for the current VigorPhone.
If your still having probs with transfering calls, try patching up making sure you use the firmwares sequentially
