There .. another wish. A Dreytek router with built in Femtocell technology so that (when my carrier supports it) I can backhaul my calls 3G through broadband. I think this functionality is going to be big going forward.

Also, a separate device to plug in to existing routers would be nice.

Just a wish.

That is all.

Don't Vodafone do a box like this now?

As a minority interest feature (very) I think it would be too expensive to R&D and produce such an enhancement, and DrayTek don't have any spectrum anyway!

It is becoming a feature of some routers now. Netgear are integrating Femtocell with one of their routers for instance.

But can it be bought? If you look at things like the Vodafone Access Gateway, they'll each be tied specifically to the mobile provider rather than a router manufacturer because of the billing / complexities of each providers network - the Access Gateway for instance needs an IPSec VPN to connect to Vodafone's network, all so you can still pay for calls / mobile broadband using your own home broadband :D

And I think you have to look the IMEI number of each mobile you want to use the cell. So good for you at home but bit of a faf if your mates come round.
