Draytek Vigor 2800 Connection problems? was created by dogo
Hi,
I’m looking for some advice, most times when a phone rings and gets answered I lose my internet connection? After a while the DSL light returns steady but I have no internet connection, I have tried changing the ADSL filters (Twice) but no luck attached is the call log from the router! I’m suspecting it’s something to do with the router!
** Removed of no use **

I'm afraid you've posted the wrong stats ! ADSL drops when the phone rings is often due to a bad connection somewhere in the line, which could be on your property, but could be anywhere between you and the exchange.
Here's what you should do.....
If you have a new-style phone socket with a removable lower-half (which looks similar to this ......
then remove the front panel from the socket, and plug your router into the socket revealed underneath (this will disconnect all the extensions in the house !). If you don't have the new style box, then continue anyway.
Then in Windows, hit Start then Run and type cmd in the box and click on OK . This will open a window with a prompt. At the prompt, type telnet 192.168.1.1 (or the IP address of your router), and you should get the reply Password:
Type the password in, and hit Enter on your keyboard.
Then type show adsl status , and copy & paste the results here. It should be something like this:
Type ? for command help
> show adsl status

You can then close the window and put the phone socket back together.

and here it is when the connection is lost
What Seems strange is that the router reports it is connected with an ADSL connection, I seem to have problems on the WAN side as show here from the router's web page
as you can see the router is connected to ADSL, but the WAN side just states [ Starting PPP ]
any ideas?

That's a large number of corrected blocks, try a different modem code such as maybe one of the E.67 ones from here: http://draytek.com/user/SupportDownloadsDetail.php?action=Load&MID=11&ID=16 - edit: actually, dont worry about the corrected blocks, it's not receiving anything so those ATM statistics aren't too useful.
Since the 2800 does seem to have PPP issues (try rebooting using the web interface then watch it connect), try the 2.8.2.1 beta firmware from the draytek UK download page, which fixes PPP issues like you seem to be seeing in that last Online Status copy paste
