Can anyone confirm how well 3.3.6.1 runs on the 2710?
I've found all kinds of odd performance issues with later versions of code for this unit - I'm wondering if this firmware is a diamond in the muck.
I'm currently stuck back on 3.3.2.3 as it's the last version that's not killed my Vodafone Sure Signal.

So I take a chance on the 3.3.6.1 firmware - and what happens? Everytime I try to apply it (using the .all version) it reports that the firmware update has failed and if I reboot, the router 'will die'. Firmware taken from draytek.com ftp site - or draytek.co.uk - same result.
Putting 3.3.2.3 back on and no issues. What gives here? Could it be that a jump from 3.3.2.3 to 3.3.6.1 using the .all version is not possible?
Any help appreciated.

The Safest wasy, it to reset on any firmware change, and punch the settings in manually. Trying to retian configs can cause things to get screwed up.

There are no stupid questions, only stupid assumptions.

I upgraded yesterday from 3.3.5.1 and this morning: no wireless!
The box is still alive so I guess a reboot is the next step but this didn't happen on the previous version.
I paid the extra money to get something better than Netgear but so far it's worse, I wonder what changed in their quality control as my old 2600 I gave to my sister is ancient and is rock solid.
The GUI is still flakey as hell and locks regularly, if any development types want some dumps to debug just get in touch.
Model Name : Vigor2710n
Firmware Version : 3.3.6.1_232201
Build Date/Time : Feb 23 2011 09:56:18
ADSL Firmware Version : 232201_A Hardware: Annex A

Changed my mind, cannot be bothered, gone for this version as someone on this forum recommended for long lines:

Are you using access control using MAC addresses? I found when I briefly ran 3.3.6.1 that some of my clients would no longer connect unless I switched that off. I've rolled back to 3.3.2.3 now. I'm none too happy with the recent firmware releases.
