2820n with 2ADSL lines was created by markikona
Hi We have 2 ADSL broadband lines, what we would like to achieve is to have the Draytek manage both.
What we have is the Draytek hooked up to one broadband line to the DSL port which is working fine. We have a second line which is managed by a Netgear DG834G router. What I would like to do is connect the Netgear to the WAN2 port on the draytek and have the Draytek manage this broadband line.
Can anyone shed any light on how this needs to be set up?
thanks
Mark

First post so here goes...
On the Netgear DG834G set the DMZ IP to that of the WAN port of the 2820. Ensure there are no port forwarding rules in operation on the Netgear.

Found an easier way. Set the DG834GT to modem only mode.
Log into your DG834
Once logged in change the address URL in the address bar to:
http://192.168.nnn.nnn/setup.cgi?next_file=mode.htm
nnn = subnet
Change to Modem Only. Router will reload with a reduced menu range.
Change your 2920 WAN2 port config to STATIC OR DYNAMIC and fill in the details as required.

when I was using a DG834GT like that, modem mode was complete pass-through, so the WAN connection on the Draytek router needs to be set as PPPoE (unless you're using Be/O2 in which case static/dynamic would work).

Or replace your DG834 with a Vigor 120 ADSL modem, which is how we ran our 2820 for years...until BT Infinity came on the scene when we just swapped out the Vigor 120 for the BT Infinity modem.
