Draytek 2820 SYSLOG not writing to USB was created by jamesd3l
Hello,
I have rebuilt the config on a users router from scratch due to connection drop out issues and have tried to set up logging to a USB key to gather more diagnostics information.
I have used a brand new 2GB USB key formatted with FAT32.
The Memory Stick can be accessed and browsed using the File Explorer function on the Draytek Web Management page and there is a SYSLOG folder which has been created automatically on it but the folder is empty.
Under 'SysLog/MAIL Alert', Syslog is enabled and USB is ticked. Also Mail Syslog is enabled and the Mail Alert Setup is configured and the test email arrives successfully. All Syslog messages are ticked.
Draytek 2820n Firmware Version:3.3.7_232201
Thanks
James
I am aware that the reouter will store 32kb of data before writing to the USB stick but the router has been wsitched on for hours now with no files being written.

I have had exactly the same issue with a few of my clients 2820 and 2830's
I can't add any value at this point, but would like to be kept in the loop on this one.

I can see the syslog appearing in the USB File Manager but the logs aren't visible on the USB Syslog Explorer web page. What am I doing wrong?

Nothing, apparently. It just takes a while for the logs to appear in the USB syslog viewer. They're all there now.
