Is my : Vigor2820n faulty? was created by alex69
For the past week or two, my speed deacreases and SNR increases, then I reboot the router from main socket and speed is back to normal again.
I checked with ISP and said everything is fine on their side.
Any idea? could it be sync problem?
This is what I have:
Vigor2820n
Firmware Version : 3.3.7.2_2471201
Build Date/Time : May 23 2012 15:59:59
ADSL Firmware Version : 2471201_A Hardware: Annex A
Thanks.

Sounds like the radio interference i.e. noise in your locality has increaased. Have you installed any new equipment on the phone line extensions sky box etc. or any new electrical equipment that might cause interference e.g. microwave oven. Also if you have an overhead cable to your premises or any otheroutside phone cable it could be cracked and letting water in. Do a quite line test on your phone (Dial 17070 and select option 2).

None of above. I did do the quiet test, everything was fine.

Hi I get this on my 2820vn after about a week or so speed drops by about 4mbit after reboot back to normal, in the router status page I notice RX errors over 1000, don't know if this is related, router also reboots around every 5-7 days.

I have a feeling is to do with ISP ( mine is O2), recently they have upgraded their network in my area. So far ( about four days) the router has not rebooted and speed remained constant. Coincident !!!???
I wouldn't worry too much about RX errors, since its ratio to tx cells is negligible.

I am on BE, I might give there router a go for a few days soon just to see if it happens aswell... Uptime 170hrs, must be due for a reboot soon, speed still good at moment!
