Used 2850n router was created by niggly54
Hello to all from a new user of this Forum.
I have just received my used Draytek 2850n to replace my BT supplied Huawei fibre modem, and my 2920n.
On plugging it it to my pc, I noticed it had version 3.6.2 firmware with a code of 232201.
The UK Draytek site recommends version 3.6.2 firmware with a code of 2471201.
Do any members have experience of the best firmware to be used in for compatability with BT FTTC products?

Unless you're unhappy with the connection speed, if it's roughly fine then I'd
leave it alone and not worry.

Thanks for the reply. I've not actually connected it to the internet- I've just been configuring it. I have applied the 3.6.3rc1 firmware now- so I will finish the configuration then connect it temporarily for testing.
It will be interesting to see how it performs, since it was bought as a 'used' item from the BT shop, for less than half price. It looks unused and brand new. There is the suspicion that it might be a return from someone who has been having issues......

It won't be damaged...reading reviews from customers at well known on line stores just will not get the same speeds as bt modem so they are back...but you may be lucky one & your line synchronize better
Here how to set it with bt infinity
