How accurate is Down speed on Vigor 2820n was created by alex69
I often find about 3Mbps difference when is checked by speedtest.net
So how accurate is Down speed on Vigor 2820n?
I also have to reboot the router in order to sync, so the speed will jump up again.
I am with O2 if thats help.

Your answer is at link below and this apply with any other brand modem

You can try some other firmware codes in future ... some good ones are 2471201... 244001, 2431301
Theme 3 synchronises most of the times with higher rates so better speeds

Ahhh well .... this seems the best so the other 2 firmwares i suggested you, will not give you any better
I am facing the same sometimes ... will synchronise lower & with my 2850n but as mentioned is the chipset at dslam & there is not complain as i know
An other trick to get higher synchronism is to reboot midnight/early morning hrs and this apply with any brand model
Give a go later and you will see difference (note if you to close at dslam you may not win a lot)

Thanks,
I read in some forums that the best time to synch is between 10am - 14pm.

I don't think so ... with adsl is always early morning hrs
I can tell it works for me 100%
With same firmware code (at my 2850) if i reboot day time it may give me anything from 12 mb to 14 mb
Early mornings i have seen it going & up to 16
You can try (i bet you all ready did) the forum advise or my advise8) and see if will work later next nights ... but hey ... dont give too much reboots in sort time at least ... because an other reason is the dlm at dslam may drop down your profile and need good few days (i am with TT so don't know with others isp) to get stable line and so profile back up
