2860n Annex M Support was created by itsnev
Hi,
After recently purchasing this router to work on my BE / O2 / Sky ADSL2+ connection where I was successfully sync'd using Annex M on an old 7800N Billion Router, I find that this router DOES NOT support Annex M even with all the marketing and even the product specs on
http://www.draytek.co.uk/products/vigor2860.html
saying it does..
â—¦ADSL Compatibility: â—¾ANSI T1.413 Issue2
â—¾ITU-T G.992.1 G.dmt (ADSL)
â—¾ITU-T G.992.2 G.lite
â—¾ITU-T G.992.3 ADSL2
â—¾ITU-T G.992.5 ADSL2+
â—¾Annex L (READSL)
â—¾Annex A
â—¾Annex M
â—¾ANFP Issue 3 Compliant/Certified (for Annex A & Annex M)
â—¾DSL Forum : TR-048/67 & TR-100
But after numerous attempts syncing this with the help of BE Support, I can confirmed this DOES NOT SUPPORT Annex M and ONLY Annex A works.

Is the Annex M appearing at wan>internet access> modulation?
If is there set it manually ... if is not there is a beta at UK download page or if you don't want to waste time trying email direct the support team ... are very good & helping

plz try the different modem codes on WAN - General Setup - WAN1, there are six you can have a go with. Not supporting annex m would be a pretty major flaw imo, especially since it can achieve far far higher upload when using vdsl2

Hi,
The only ones listed are all Annex A
.
Also on the BOX (packaging) it only lists Annex A & Annex B as supported, no mention anywhere of Annex M.
Very disappointing.

Just to add module is available for Annex M, but when I tried both options with BE on the line, they said it kept defaulting to Annex A and would not sync to Annex M.
If anyone has any other ideas how this should work, I'm sure BE Broadband would be willing to test again with me.

Annex M is a subset of Annex A/B, using an Annex A modem code won't stop Annex M from working Buuut, the router won't auto select Annex M when using multimode, so make sure to specify ADSL2+ Annex M or ADSL2 Annex M so that the router will attempt to sync that way.
