2860n plus high attenuation.. was created by ukgeoff1958
recently auto migrated to SKY BB from bethere (max speed est between 3-5 mb)... on my netgear i used to get max 4.5+mb down and .5 up on with an attentuation of 57db.......... and snr of around 6.5-6.0 db but stable.
on the sky box they sent me....... i get line attent of 56.5 with an increase up to 4.7 mb upload and .5 ish upload speed....(both connection v stable)
Recently bought a 2860n plus.... for the extras it can do...but when i connect it..i get line atten of 59/60db and snr of 6. The fastest speed i have managed to connect at is 3.6..and an up of .775?
Any ideas?
cheers
Geoff.

try some modem codes at WAN >> General Setup>DSL Modem Code
are for compatibility with the local dslams
If there there is a named code 531A16_533011 should give lees attenuator and maybe better stability
