Vigor 130 cannot connect was created by oldlob
I bought the 130 to pair with my much loved and trusted 2820 and which together I hoped would replace my BThomehub 5. After 6 months of occasional trying I have been unable to get any kind of connection. Connecting the 130 direct to my pc, the DSL status page never shows more than "Training" and all zeros. I've tried every setting suggestion I can find on the internet, I've upgraded the firmware at least twice, I've changed the DSL inlet cable, I've reset to default settings. Still nothing. Any suggestions??

is it annex A or annex B the hardware? did you get it from UK dealer?I think must states it under the modem to the label
Are you trying with adsl or vdsl (fttc) line?
Have you tried the modem direct to the phone socket? no filters no phone

It's Annex B, bought from Germany six or seven months ago with the latest UK firmware. At that time I couldn't find one in the UK. FTTC / VDSL / BT Infinity. It's plugged directly to the BT socket. I've tried the same RJ11 cable that works with the BT hub and alternate cables. Your response, asking about the annex and country of origin has led me on a new course of enquiry and I'm guessing now that I have a 130 that will only work in Germany.

It won't work; you need to buy a UK model with UK firmware/support. The UK team put a lot of work
into making the UK spec one work correctly for the UK.

As I expected. Strange it was packaged with a UK power supply. A new one is on it's way from BT. Thanks for your help.

Well, it isn't an official DrayTek PSU as they don't ship Annex B models with UK plug. Using unapproved accessories may be unreliable or even dangerous.
