Vigor 130 lower Sync Speed was created by vipermk2
Hi

I have had 76/17 speeds for over 5 years now using the BT openreach modem but after BT announced that they would no longer support their modems I decided to get a Vigor 130.

After initial installation the speed was 76/19 then after a few days I noticed the download speed had dropped to 69, I assumed it was BT's DLM kicking in so left it alone for 3 weeks. It is however still at 69, there has been no return to the speeds I've had for 5 years. I've tried messing with the SNR but it wont change.

DS Actual Rate : 73999000 bps US Actual Rate : 19999000 bps

your synch rate is 73 not 69 but still looks low given the max attainable rate.

On FTTC you can't alter snr values or make any changes to the DSLAM.

Try rebooting the modem early in the morning.

Thanks for the reply

What time is early because I did reboot it at 1am.

I'm wondering if BT have reduced my IP profile due to the number of disconnections I've forced it to do over the weeks

I usually reboot at @ 05.30 - 06.30 am.

DLM could have cut in if there were too many disconnects in a short time.

What is the output of " vdsl status more " ?

G.INP has been deployed on your line , it shows as ReTxEnable , and further down you'll see INP. and Interleave delay.

I would leave things alone and let the DLM system do its job, when/if it sees a stable line over a given period it will remove the interleave delay. It could be days or up to 3 weeks.
