Vigor 130 was created by fatandangry
Hi all

Just purchased a Vigor 130, and it would not work right out of the box at all with my BT Infinity connection. The router I am trying to get it to play with is an Asus RT-AC68U without success. I have tried amending various settings on the 130, but I cannot get any further forward. I'm presently using a Netgear DM200 but unsure of it's capacity for vectoring. I have reverted to using it and am just hoping to avoid the wrath of the DLM.

Is there anything obvious that I'm missing?

Assuming you are in the UK and have bought a UK version? Then it should work "out of the box". Vectoring is not, as I understand it, in general use in the UK in any event.

As Piste says , assuming this is a UK Vigor 130 it should just connect and work.

Use the factory reset button and then power cycle the modem.

You DO NOT need to change any settings within the Vigor 130 with BT Infinity.

You should be able to see the Draytek stats by calling 192.168.2.1

If it still won't connect set a static on your PC of 192.168.2.10 with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 and the gateway: 192.168.2.1 , see if that brings up a connection.

(And no, vectoring is not in use yet/if ever.)

Hi, yes it's a UK version and I flashed the newest BT firmware today. Have tried factory resetting it a couple of times without success.

All of the setup should be done on the router...are you not checking that? updating the V130 or its settings shouldn't make a difference to working, unless
you're on one of the ISPs that using different VLAN tags (as per knowledgebase articles).
