As of 8am this morning my 2862 stopped working on Plusnet. No configuration changes.

It is syncing fine with the VDSL2:
Code:
Line 1 Information (VDSL2 Firmware Version: 779517_A/B/C with Vectoring support ) Profile State UP Speed Down Speed SNR Upstream SNR Downstream 17A SHOWTIME 9,753 (Kbps) 39,461 (Kbps) 6 (dB) 6 (dB)

However when it comes to establishing the WAN 1 PPPoE connection, eventually it just displays:
Code:
WAN 1 Status Enable Line Name Mode Up Time Yes VDSL2 Plusnet PPPoE 00:00:00 IP GW IP TX Bytes TX Rate(bps) RX Bytes RX Rate(bps) --- --- 0 (B) 0 0 (B) 0 Message [ PPPoE : No response from server side. ]

Replaced with my old 2860, which was also working fine on Plusnet with the same settings (until it was replaced with the 2862 many months ago) - Same issue:
Code:
Message [ PPPoE : No response from server side. ]

Plusnet support and I have been through everything their end and we've been through all the settings - still neither device can connect.

Any ideas? We've hit a brick wall this end.
I am doubtful this is the Drayek's doing - after all everything was working until 8:00am this morning.

My problems with ZEN started with power cut on 18th Dec.
2830 connected using Openreach modem so using wan ethernet port.
Was working suddenly stopped.

Replaced with 2862 using build in vdsl2 modem, no use.
Tried 2862 using openreach modem, no use.

However tried windows 7 pc with PPPoE connection using openreach modem
and good connection every time.

ZEN provided FritxBox router but still no connection, just no response to PPPoE
authorisation. Always a good dsl line though.

Tried FritzBox with all settings as configured by ZEN, nothing.
BUT direct W7 pc to openreach modem still works every time ?????

Okay, dug out the BT modem (never removed from box) and trying direct connect from Wind 10 PC using PPPoE.
This doesn't seem to be working either, but I am not sure I have my Ethernet configured correctly.
Can anyone give me a brief tutorial (IP address, subnet, gateway, DNS, etc) needed to make this work?
Thanks.

To test the connection simply connect the BT modem direct to your PC/device and create a new PPOE connection.

[Control Panel > Internet Options> Create connection.]

You should only need your username and password, Windows does the rest.

Thanks Adrian, I did that but it still wasn't connecting. best to confirm not PEBKAC.
My assumption is still that something is messed up at Plusnet, because everything was working for me up until yesterday morning.

I get this in the WAN syslog of the 2862. Seems to keep retrying the CHAP Challenge/Response over and over.

Sample (see the PasteBin for full log):
Code:
2000-01-01 00:02:17 WAN1 PPPoE ==> Protocol:CHAP(c223) Response Identifier:0x01 10 82 65 38 4d ec eb d9 70 80 b1 9e fb 14 d3 08 b7 70 63 62 62 63 40 70 6c 75 73 64 73 6c 2e 6e 65 74 ## 2000-01-01 00:02:17 WAN1 PPPoE <== Protocol:CHAP(c223) Challenge Identifier:0x01 2d ac 4f 04 23 e8 56 b0 b2 67 6c 10 b2 23 c0 21 d3 79 b1 66 51 02 61 4a 57 f7 37 da 94 14 b7 56 c1 07 5b 64 6f 31
