Thinking of changing my old 2860 for a 2926. I've a 300mb FTTP, but it only manages a 255mb download/213.34 upload (compared to a third party router which manages 334/253)

I'm thinking the reduction in speed with the 2860 is its processing power, and a 2926 being a later model will handle closer to the 3rd party router (a Linksys Velop).

Be interested to hear of any of you with a 2926 (or 2862 for that matter which probably has a similar spec), and fttp, what speeds you manage.

Draytek claim 400Mbps throughput for the 2926. See: https://www.draytek.co.uk/products/comparison/router-comparison

To add:

Draytek only ever claimed 200Mbps for the 2860 (See here (...that used to be the largest number you could enter in the Q.O.S. section). I asked Draytek about this (after pointing out that my so-called 200Mbps Virgin Media line, was actually achieving 220Mbps) and they upped the limit.

All highly academic now I've moved to the sticks ... they still use telephone wires for Internet here  , and I can only dream of 200Mbps

You might want to wait for the 2927 to be available in the UK.

(I use a 2926 but only have Zen 37 down/ 6 up)

Thanks for the comments so far.

So looking at the original spec of the 2860 perhaps the 2926 will sufffice, although not much room for speed upgrades with 400mbs as its stated limit (possible to get 1gbs, if you have a very healthy bank balance).

800mbs throughput - liking the look of the 2927, but wonder if/when it will appear in uk?

By the way I'm in the sticks too - just lucky to have fttp put in, otherwise it would be more like 6mbs.

Did you consider invoking "Your right to request a decent broadband service" ? . Or does the FTTP cost less than £46.10 per month? ... which seems to be a number plucked out of the air
