Ever so often I have to connect to the university network. This works well for 15 mins then the data flow stops.

Internal network browsing is fine and I can still connect to the 2820.

Disconnecting and reconnecting the vpn and again after 15 mins the same.

I noticed in the draytek log I get Nat GRE session timeout

The logs at the other end show no errors and show that I'm still connected until I hang up.

Any ideas???

Ah the same error has occurred but this time I can still browse.

Ah ok, does this happen after it idles for 15 minutes or is it just 15 minutes of usage and then it'll cut out?
