You can do this using a LAN to LAN VPN connection - go into a LAN to LAN VPN profile and enter these settings:
Call direction: Dial-Out
tick Always On

2. Dial Out settings:
Type of server: PPTP
Server IP: the IP address / hostname of your VPN service
Username: the one supplied by your VPN service
Password: the one supplied

4. TCP/IP Network Settings:
Change "From first subnet to remote network, you have to do" from Route to NAT
tick "Change default route to this VPN tunnel" (you can only have one WAN connection enabled if you want to do this but it's needed for the router to use it for internet access)

That should then connect to the VPN service and the router should be able to use it for internet access :)

I am also trying to use VyprVPN with 2820n and I have followed the steps above but with no luck.

These are my LAN-to-LAN settings:

1. COMMON SETTINGS
Profile Name: vyprVPN
Enable this Profile: Checked
VPN Dial-out through: WAN1 First
Netbios Naming Packet: Pass
Multicast via VPN: Block
Call Direction: Dial-out
Always ON: Checked

2. DIAL-OUT SETTINGS
PPTP: Checked
Server name/Host IP: eu1.vpn.giganews.com (tried all others as well)
username and password: (checked that what I supply there is correct as i can connect from a windows 7 pc using client VPN configuration)
PPP Authentication: PAP/CHAP
VJ Compression: ON

4. TCP/IP NETWORK SETTINGS
My WAN IP: 0.0.0.0
Remote Gateway IP: 0.0.0.0
Remote Netork IP: 0.0.0.0
Remote Netowork Mask: 255.255.255.0
RIP Detection: Disable
From first subnet to remote network, you have to do: NAT
Change default route to this VPN tunnel: Checked

Going to Connections Management and clicking Dial yields no result.
From the SYSLOG application it seems that the router enters a dialing loop but I cannot see the reason for not getting connected. I only see the following looping message every 30 or so seconds:

141 2011-05-05 13:31:36 May 5 13:31:27 Vigor Dialing Node1 (VyprVPN) :
141 2011-05-05 13:31:37 May 5 13:31:28 Vigor PPP Start (VPN- Profile index = 1, Name = VyprVPN, ifno = 8)
141 2011-05-05 13:32:08 May 5 13:32:02 Vigor Dialing Node1 (VyprVPN) :
141 2011-05-05 13:32:09 May 5 13:32:03 Vigor PPP Start (VPN- Profile index = 1, Name = VyprVPN, ifno = 8)

I would be grateful if someone could cross-check my settings with yours and let me know if I am missing something.

Thank you in advance.

My Setup:
under 4: TCP Network settings:
MY Wan IP: 0.0.0.0
Remote Gateway IP: 0.0.0.0
Remote Network IP: 0.0.0.0
Remote Network Mask: 255.255.255.255
Local Network IP: (my network)
Local Network Mask: (my network mask)

From first Subnet to remote netwok you have to do: NAT

Then, under "more" enter the hosts/networks you want to access using vyprvpn.

Works for me.

Also:
Check:try a PPtP software VPN to check if you settings are correct. I once could not use the profile in the router, because for whatever reasons my ID was blacklisted, because giganews thought I tried to connect from more then one IP to their system.
After a chat session with their support the issue was resolved, an I could connect again.

Thank you very much for your reply.

From what I see in the SYSLOG and in the "Connection Management" page I managed to get connected to the European server!
However none of the PCs inside the network has internet access. Every web page fails to load immediately saying that the computer is not connected to the internet.
In "4. TCP/IP Network Settings - More" I have added all the IP addresses of the network in the form 192.168.1.xx/255.255.255.0 so I guess that should have done the trick but it does not.
Question: Should I add the router's address as well?

The weird thing is the following:
Some of the machines are accessible from outside but do not have access from the inside.
For instance I have two Synology NASes and I am able to load the sabNZBd+ remote administration page and all other remote pages like File Manager or Admin page but from inside the network the do not seem to have access to the internet.
Another example: I am able to load the Plex Media Manager Web administration page which resides on a mac mini but the mac mini does not seem to be able to contact the internet from inside.
Last example: All PCs seem to be available on LogMeIn (they appear to be open) but do not load for remote administration.

Could you please provide some details on your suggestion "...try a PPtP software VPN to check if you settings are correct"

Really appreciate it!
