ExpiredHow to access Vigor 167 Web User Interface?
You would not normally need to access the WUI of Vigor 167, because it is a pre-configured VDSL2 / ADSL2+ modem that performs full pass-through bridge to Ethernet presentation. It can be then used by a device such as a router to connect directly to the Internet.
By default, Vigor 167 does not store any Internet usernames or passwords itself - those go into your router, or whatever you are connecting to the Vigor 167. The settings on the Vigor 167 are correct for most UK lines out of the box, so in most cases it should only be necessary to configure the router that it is connected to.
This article depicts how to access the Vigor 167 Web User Interface, and how to your network adapter settings.
The DrayTek Vigor 167 modem has a web interface available on http://192.168.2.1. The DHCP server is disabled by default. You need to set your computer with a static IP address to match the 192.168.2.0/24 subnet. |
The default Vigor 167 settings:
- Configured to pass through a PPPoE connection
- VDSL2 VLAN Tag is set to 101
- ADSL VPI/VCI is set to 0/38 for PPPoA connections, 0/101 for MPoA connections
The above are the correct settings for the majority of UK ISPs, so you do not need to change any settings on your Vigor 167 or access its web interface. Go straight to your router setup. Some exceptions are Kingston/Karoo, O2 and Vodafone Ireland - each of those has their own settings, so check with them for their latest, specifically for your DSL type (ADSL or VDSL).
Detailed Steps for Vigor 167 WUI Access
1. Connect your computer to one of the LAN Ethernet ports available on the Vigor 167 modem.
If your Vigor 167 has already been connected to the router, you can use its second Ethernet port to access the Web User Interface directly from your PC.
2. Make sure that your computer is set with a static IP address that will match the 192.168.2.0/24 subnet. You can set your PC to e.g. 192.168.2.10, subnet mask 255.255.255.0
