DrayDDNS is a feature that allows to overcome an issue with dynamically allocated IP addresses assigned by Internet providers. Every time your ISP connects your router to the network, it usually issues a different IP. This means that if you want to connect to your WAN IP Address remotely it is difficult to know what the IP might be, because the IP Address can change from time to time. If you have not configured your DrayDDNS yet, check our setup guide here.
For the DrayDDNS service to work, its licence must be renewed each year. This article demonstrates how to obtain and activate a new license key for the DrayTek router's DrayDDNS service.
1. Login to the router’s GUI interface and open Product Registration located under the MyVigor Services (on some older routers also called Support Area) section.
You will be redirected to the MyVigor portal login page. Enter your MyVigor account credentials to access the service. If you don’t have the MyVigor account yet, please register first.
2. The MyVigor page should allow you to see the current Service Status page. Click the Renew License button
Important Notes:
The Renew License option (button) is available only when the following criteria are matched:
- there is less than 30 days before the expiration date
- you did login to MyVigor from the Vigor Router’s Web User Interface
- the Vigor Router is bound to your MyVigor account
3. The License Agreement window should pop out. If you agree with the terms and conditions, scroll down, and click Accept
4. Select Activate Date and click Next
5. Confirm the license information and click Activate
