Can not get the IP address of DDNS server. was created by andersc
Hello,
I'm trying to get the DDNS function to work in my Vigor 2830n router without any luck, I had it working a while back but now when looking at the logs it's failing. I got the latest firmware for my device:
Model Name : Vigor2830n
Firmware Version : 3.6.3_sb_232201
Build Date/Time : Sep 17 2012 16:18:48
The service I'm using is: dyndns.org. When entering the login information onhttp://www.dyndns.org it works fine but when selecting dyndns.org in the router I get the error:
I've seen several posts when googeling the error code 'Can not get the IP address of DDNS server' but no remedy so far.
Thank you for helping.
/Anders.

check under diagnostics - ping diagnosis whether you can ping the ddns provider hostname, if it can't, check on the online status - physical connection page what the DNS servers are, make sure they are ones that are correct for the internet connection and that they work
