Setup Vigor 2600 as a wired access point was created by simon171174
I am trying to add my Vigor 2600 to an existing LAN with a Virgin Router that has a dynamic IP from the ISP.
I want to use the 2600 as dynamic DNS updater as the Virgin router does not have this feature.

Any help on how to do this would be much appreciated.

I have the two routers connected and can use the internet off both.

The problem seems to be when a forced update happens the log says WAN IP incorrect, I think its because the WAN IP is handled by the router.

Presumably this is a Vigor2600W or We... but that's 802.11b/g only so not exactly very fast/recent.. but if you want it as an AP, then you must ensure that DHCP is disabled (on it) and you connect its LAN port to your main router.

The 2600 won't be aware of your WAN IP, as it is simply on the local network and as such you won't be able to use the ddyns features on it to update your dynamic dns provider. Sorry!
