Draytek 2830n Remote Management Issue was created by tobys123
Hi all.

I've got a Draytek 2830n Plus Dual Band ADSL +, which is causing me a slight problem... Remote Management over WAN is disabled, yet I can still log in and administer the router via public IP/hostname... How do I disable this? I do NOT want to be able to access my router over the internet...

How do I prevent my router from being accessible via public IP/hostname?

I'm out of ideas... Please help!

Update: I think I've found the solution:- disabling ALL Remote Access Control options under VPN.

Are you sure that it was allowing you to log into the router?

That was happening because the SSL VPN server was responding with it's own web login, which is the same as the remote admin web interface. In my experience though, logging in with the admin credentials just re-loads the page rather than logging into the web interface.
