Preventing Gaming/You Tube at specific times was created by neilgauld
Hi, is it possible to prevent an unruly teenager from playing certain games and watching You Tube when they should be doing their homework? Unfortunately most homework involves internet research so a blanket ban courses more problems. I wanted to know if I could set up a schedule everyday where these things were blocked... Any ideas how to do this appreciated. I have a Vigor2860ac.
Thanks

Hi Neil - what a great question !
I believe it should be possible using URL Content FIltering - I would suggest having a look at the following link:
http://www.draytek.co.uk/support/guides/kb-dnsfilter-url
which also has a further link on to the scheduling side of things.
You'll have to create an account (free) to get the content, but well worth it
Very best of luck with this one, I suspect it won't be easy - I would guess YouTube should be an easy one to catch/filter, but I think blocking one game will just lead to another, so you might be playing catch-up for a while.
Hopefully someone else here can provide some more details - I imagine this is a not uncommon requirement (yes - been there, fortunately MANY years ago now:lol: )
Good luck
Simon
