DHCP Options, ASCII String Length Increase was created by gilbad
Hi,
I notice on my 2860 and 2920 that the maximum length ASCII string I can enter for a DHCP option is 63 chars in length.
Is there anyway this length can be increased, perhaps by entering the value using telnet? (I can't find anything in the command reference document).
I'd like to enter a string like the below:
id:ipphone.mitel.com;sw_tftp=192.168.111.12;call_srv=192.168.114.101;vlan=4;l2p=6;dscp=56
At the moment I'm having to use an external DHCP server and I'd like to do away with this on smaller sites.
If this isn't possible now, is there a process for requesting it in a future firmware release?
Thanks
Adam
