Vigor modem for IP block and servers was created by counterpoint
Ideally, for connection to the broadband service (Ultrafast) I would like a high quality device that doesn't have any wireless capability. (I use wireless access points). I have a block of 8 public IP addresses. A number of servers need to be connected, each with its own IP address from the block. In addition, I use a Mikrotik router to create a private network for local users, using one of the 8 IP addresses on its WAN side.

Am I on the right lines if I think about using a Vigor 166? Could the servers (and the Mikrotik router) that have public internet IP addresses connect via a switch? Or is a router needed for them? Or am I totally confused?
