Is the FXO port on the 2820Vn simply for passthrough to the phone plugged into the router or is it is the router actually capable of doing SIP > FXO.

I know it's possible to go from SIP > PSTN as the linksys have an ATA that can do it (SPA 3102)

Reason I ask is I have a SIP phone on my desk (Linksys SPA941) and while i can dial PSTN numbers via my VOIP provider I actually get free eve&weekend calls on the PSTN line.

Alternative would be to get a DECT handset (prob work out cheaper) but that would mean another item on my already cluttered desk

AFAIK, the 2028vn doesnt have full FXO capabilities which seems like a big omission.

Maybe a post to the wish list might help with a future firmware upgrade if the hardware is capable of supporting it.
