2820Vn dial plan problem was created by siwilson
Hi,
I am just working through configuring a new 2820Vn and having problems with the dial plan digit map.
I have an entry like this:
Prefix number 01 | Replace | 00441 | 4 | 20 | VoIP1
If I dial a number eg 01234567890
Then the actual number that gets passed to the SIP server is 0044134567890
The second digit of the number gets lost somewhere. Now, I've read somewhere about people saying this is a DECT issue (it is a DECT phone) and the digits are being sent too fast. So, I tried getting the dial tone first, then entering the digits one at a time, slowly. Same result.
Help!

Hmm, no response... wonder if you solved it??
Failing that, try using an ordinary DTMF phone; see if digits get dropped on that... unlikely, I reckon.
I haven't looked (yet!) but wonder if anything gets logged in the logfile? - there's lots of crud that DOES get logged... it would be good if the SIP REQUEST message is logged!

I can get siwilson's Digit Map config...
Prefix number 01 | Replace | 00441 | 4 | 20 | VoIP1
...to work here using a 2820Vn (f/w 3.3.3_232201, ITSP = draytel) so it may well be an issue with the DECT device.
Incidentally, for my test calls, VoIP >> Status shows "<>00441234567890" under Peer ID and the SysLog shows "<158>Jan 4 11:06:30 Vigor: SIP Outgoing Call to00441234567890@draytel.org "
siwilson -- if you still have this problem, it may be worthwhile confirming that the DECT device is set-up for the UK environment. Many years ago, I came across a problem whereby some devices produced quite short DTMF output (around 40-50ms per 'pulse') whereas other devices required a minimum duration of 70ms. Just a thought.
