FXS forwarding to SIP was created by mace
Hi,
I'm trying to find out whether the 2820Vn can forward incoming POTS calls to an asterisk exchange - not so concerned about making outgoing POTS calls, although that would be a nice to have.
I've not really been able to find any obvious settings in the UI to do this. The closest is the call forwarding: always and SIP URL options on the phone settings page, but changing these seems to have no effect.
Any ideas, or is this simply something the router cannot do?
Thanks.

You mean FXO? No; it doesn't/can't. It doesn't have an FXO port currently.

Yep, my bad, FXO..
Not sure what you mean by it not having an FXO port currently, as the one I have sitting in front of me has a line socket (FXO) and two phone sockets (FXS), and incoming calls on the line can be answered by the phones?
I just want to do away with the analog phones and route the incoming call to a SIP PBX.
Thanks!

It's not an FXO port, it's just an analogue line port; it isn't connected to VoIP.

That's a bit of a shame - that was our whole reasoning for going with the VOIP enabled one.
What does the divert - all option do then for the phone 1/2 ports - only divert incoming SIP calls?
