IPPBX with un-authenticated SIP trunks

Hi ,

does anyone know if it is possible to use the Draytek 2820 IPPBX with SIP trunks from a provider that does not use authentication/registration?

i.e. authentication to make calls is done via the IP Address

I cant seem to make the Draktek see a trunk as "live" without registration.

Thanks!

Dave

I asked Draytek about this, as I was planning on using Gradwell's IP authenticated SIP trunks and they said it's not possible.

The VigorIPPBX2820 only supports username and password based
authentication method.

It does not support IP based authentication.

If you're using Gradwell, you should however be able to use 6 regular SIP accounts to give 12 line capacity AIUI. Should be testing this in the next week or so if you needed to know for certain.
