X-Lite setup was created by gtpc_ltd
Hi,

We have been trying to get X-Lite setup for for one of our clients.
We can get the client registered, (have tried v3 & v4), and can make calls, but get no audio - either way. (the audio setup works on another VoIP platform).

Anybody managed to get this working?

Thanks,

Simon.

From my experience, No Audio or One-way Audio is a NAT issue.

This generally happens when you are trying to connect a handset (hard or soft) from the WAN side of the PBX. Don't forget to configure the Client's router/firewall to allow the right ports inc. 10050-15000 UDP for RTP.

NAT traversal should be solved by using a STUN server - but I have absolutely no idea how! I don't know if one has to have your own, or use any 3rd party's (in the same way one uses a DNS server). And if you have to have your own, whether it has to reside on the LAN of the PBX, the cloud, or on the client's LAN.

If you research SIP & NAT you get told "use a STUN" and that as far as any explaination goes!

Best of luck.
