Cannot map a DDI/Alias to FXS Extention? was created by davido140
Hi,
Not so much an issue as I've already found a decent work-around but when trying to assign a DDI/Alias to an FXS extention (a fax in this case) the alias config screen lets me choose the extension from the list but is displayed as "extension not defined" in the list of aliases, when testing it rings once then cuts off.
I got around this by putting the FXS extention in a hunt group and mapping the DDI to the hunt group, seems to work fine.
Just wondering if anyone else had seen this?
Cheers
Dave

I'm just about to setup a IPPX350 for a similar scenario - a fax machine on a FXS port that needs mapping to a DDI. I'll see if I have to do the same. Thanks for posting the info.

I'm just setting up a IPPX3510 (f/w 3.5.5.2_RC2a) and there is the option to point an ISDN DDI number to a FXS port.
