Remote Pickup was created by skyclad
Environment:
PBX: Vigor 3510 IP PBX
Phones: VigorPhone 350
Trunk: Draytel

We have just installed a VOIP switchboard into our offices and have finally got them set up but there are a few things we are still struggling with - the documentation being quite light.

One thing the users have asked is if it is possible to pickup from their own phone an extension that is ringing elsewhere in the office. So if phone A rings, then on phone B be able to press some combination of keys to answer the call, so they don't have to run to the other end of the office to pick it up.

Would be great if someone could advise if this is possible or has any other tips on hidden functionality that isn't documented.

I think it is possible yes...not sure of the code though.

Be sure you're running latest 3.5.5.2 firmware anyway.

Had a fiddle and found out you can do it as follows:

On the IP PBX navigate to IP PBX >> PBX System >> SIP Proxy Setting and check the setting for Call Pickup Number in my case it was *1 which I suspect is the default.

Then when an extension rings you press *1[extension number]#.

Even easier method - If you set up the speed dial buttons on the phone to be in BLF mode then they flash if a handset is ringing - simply press the button to pickup the call.
