Passing Caller ID to phones was created by roundst
Hi,

Am i missing something? we have 2 ISDN2e lines, allowing for 4 calls at a time - this seems to be working happily.

However, when a call comes in, the phone only displays the 903 or 904 depending on which ISDN trunk it's come in on.

How do i pass the caller id, so that it is displayed on the phone? i hoped/expected it to happen automatically.

Thanks

If the ISDN line has CLI enabled it will be passed to the phones. You'll see it as 903*020812345 or 904*020812345 where 020812345 was the callers number. If you're not seeing it then the most likely reason is that the ISDN line doesn't have the CLI service enabled.

You can double check by looking at the call records in the Web UI. If it also shows just 903 / 904 then check with your telco to see if CLI is enabled.

thanks..

it WAS down to CLI not being enabled on the lines.. after the string of disasters for the line installation, it was a minor issue :D
