Shorten Dail Delay on Vigor 2800VG was created by jamesthecat
Hi All,
I am new to both Draytek and to the VoIP arena and wonder if it is possible to shorten the dail delay on a Draytek 2800 as it waits for around 4 seconds unless you use the # key. I know this is possible on other devices like Grandstream.
Thanks in advance of any assitance that anyone may be able to give.
Jimmy.

Thanks everyone LOL :o
I have worked this out myself and just incase someone else wants to know you need to Telnet to the router and use the following command:
> voip dsp timer
usage:
voip dsp timer [Timer] [PHONE_NUM_LEN]
[Timer]: in 500ms increments, with 1 corresponding to 500ms and a range of 1 to 255.
[Timer]: If number of phone digits are excess then [PHONE_NUM_LEN], router will start a phone call after [Timer].
[PHONE_NUM_LEN]: The minimum length of phone digit is 2.
[PHONE_NUM_LEN]: If number of phone digits are excess then [PHONE_NUM_LEN], router will start a phone call after [Timer].
Current timer:Timer=8, PHONE_NUM_LEN=4
And so if you want the delay to be 2 seconds and the default phone number length to be 6 digits you would use the command 'voip dsp timer 4 6'
Hopefully this will help someone else in the future.
