How to handle incoming PSTN calls? was created by psykix
I have a 2820vn with an analogue phone in phone port 1.

Is it possible to divert incoming PSTN calls to my VOIP number without incurring any charges? I want to ditch the answering machine on the PSTN phone and handle them with the Draytel answering machine because it emails the messages..

Also, I don't get any CID anymore on my PSTN phone - is this fixable? Or maybe if the above is possible then this will be a moot point!

Ta..

Couldn't you use the voicemail for an extension as an answering machine?

Either way, what you'll need to do is make an un-used extension on the PBX, change the offline setting so that it either diverts out to another number using the SIP trunk or if you want to use it as voicemail, set it to go to voicemail for that extension, which can also be set up to email out voicemails.
