I want to disable the voip/sip service on my 2830Vn, and open port 5060 for an internal IP.
My question is how do I disable the voip? I tried
- sys sip_alg 0
- sys commit
But it still seems to be active. anybody any idea?

sys sip_alg is only in reference to the ALG 'feature'

I think what you need is the telnet command to disable VOIP:

'voip sip misc -D 1'

then to commit this to memory, and restart with the amended functionality

sys commit
sys reboot

the -D option is unknown to the firmware, any valid command for the firmware?

This would be useful to have answered. Any progress on disabling inbuilt VoIP?

Unless the command is there then there's no way to disable it, you can change the SIP ports in the individual SIP Accounts (all 12?) to stop the router from using 5060 though.
Also see if draytek have a firwmare that adds in that command cos if you look at the release notes for the 2920's 3.3.7 firmware you can see they've added that command in there.
