I have a client that has been using a 2930 for a number of years and the firmware has not been upgraded from 3.0.3. I am trying to set up a SIP phone but the Vigor is blocking this and when I telnet onto it the SIP_ALG command is not available. I have tried to upgarde to 3.3.0 but this fails, so I'm one would need to upgarde to an interim verson before going to 3.3.0. However, as this is only a proof of concept, as they are moving premises on a few months, I would like to know that even if I can upgrade to 3.3.0 would I then be able to make SIP calls or will I require to upgrade the router to a later model.
